இதுதொடர்பாக ஆசிரியர் தேர்வு வாரியம் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிவிக்கையில், ஆசிரியர் தகுதித் தேர்வு 2-ல் தேர்ச்சிப் பெற்ற பட்டதாரிகள், வரும் நவம்பர் 1ம் தேதி முதல் நவம்பர் 30ம் தேதி வரை ஆன்லைன் வழியாக இத்தேர்வுக்கு விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம். 2024ம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 7ம் தேதி போட்டித் தேர்வு நடைபெறும். அரசாணை எண் 149-ஐ பின்பற்றி, இந்த போட்டித் தேர்வு நடைபெறும்.

அரசாணை எண் 149 ரத்து இல்லை: தமிழகத்தில் இருக்கும் அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் பள்ளிக்கல்வித் துறை முன்னாள் ஆணையர் வெளியிட்ட புள்ளி விவரங்களின்படி, 13,500 ஆசிரியர் பணியிடங்கள் காலியாக உள்ளன. இந்தநிலையில், ஆசிரியர் தேர்வு வாரியத்தின் இந்த போட்டித் தேர்வு மூலம் முதற்கட்டமாக 2,222 ஆசிரியர்கள் நியமிக்கப்பட உள்ளனர்.

ஆசிரியர் தகுதித் தேர்வு முடித்தவர்களுக்கு இன்னொரு போட்டித் தேர்வு நடத்தக்கூடாது என்பதுதான் பலரது கோரிக்கையாக இருந்து வருகிறது. இந்த கோரிக்கையை முன்வைத்துதான், அண்மையில் பள்ளிக் கல்வித்துறை வளாகத்தில் போராட்டம் நடைபெற்றது. இந்த போராட்டத்தின் போது அரசாணை எண் 149-ஐ ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று கோரிக்கை வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. ஆனால், தற்போது ஆசிரியர் தேர்வு வாரியம் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிவிப்பின்படி, அரசாணை எண் 149 ரத்து இல்லை என்பது உறுதியாகி உள்ளது.
