- An individual must have passed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate exam from a recognised board.

- An individual’s age must not be below 18 and 32 years, there will be a upper age relaxation for 2 and 5 years for MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs; and SCs, SC(A)s, STs and Destitute Widows of all Castes.
